Do you want to go to the movies this weekend? (이번 주말에 영화관 갈래?)

 

▶this weekend = 이번 주말에 (부사)

 

▶ go to the movies = 영화관에 가다 

    = go and see a movie

    = go to the movie theater 

1. Let's go to the movies tonight.
(오늘 밤 영화 보러 가자.)

2. I feel like going to the movies.
(영화관을 가고 싶은 기분이 들어.)

 

 

Nah. I'm just going to sleep in and do nothing. (아니. 나 그냥 늦잠 자고 아무것도 안 할 거야.)

 

▶do nothing = 아무것도 안 하다 

 

▶sleep in = 늦잠 자다(의도적으로)   

   oversleep = 늦잠 자다(의도하지 않게 실수로)

1. I just want to sleep in.
(나 그냥 늦잠 자고 싶어.)

2. She slept in because she was tired.
(그녀는 피곤해서 늦잠을 잤어.)

Are you that tired? (너 그렇게 피곤해?)

 

▶tired = 피곤한

 

▶that 형용사 = 그렇게 (형옹사)한 

1. Are you that nervous?
(너 그렇게 긴장했니?)

2. Is WCB English that fun?
(왕초보 영어가 그렇게 재밌어?)

3.I am not that hungry.
(나 그렇게 배고프지 않아.)

 

 

 

My boss gives me too much work. (부장님이 나한테 너무 많은 일을 줘.)

 

▶boss = 상사

 

▶too much + (명사) = 너무 많은 (명사)  * 셀 수 없는

1. I drank too much milk.
(난 너무 많은 우유를 마셨어.)

2. She spent too much money.
(그녀는 너무 많은 돈을 썼어.)

3. We have too much work.
(우린 너무 일이 많아)

 

 

 

이번 주말에 영화관 갈래?

아니. 나 그냥 낮잠자고 아무것도
안할거야.

너 그렇게 피곤해?

부장님 나한테 너무 많은 일을 줘.
